ROSCO gears up for Coach & Bus Live

The Road Operators’ Safety Council will again be attending this years Coach & Bus Live event at the NEC on the 5th and 6th of October.

We’ll be there to talk to prospective and current members about the benefits of the scheme which was founded in 1955 and which has over 50,000 drivers registered each year from over 100 bus and coach companies.

In 2012, ROSCO administration will roll out an individual driver database which will enable records to be transferable from one member company to another. This can also link to individual offers for the benefit of the drivers themselves, and a number of products will be available.

In tandem with this, ROSCO’s media partner, Coach and Bus Week, will also be demonstrating their driver facing website .

ROSCO posters promote core values

A new range of posters have been launched by ROSCO for the benefits of members. Based on ‘core values’, the posters cover key messages that contribute to safe and fuel efficient driving by professional drivers.

Posters can be ordered through this website and can be individually tailored to each company; for example, it’s possible to include your company logo and you can ask for them to be printed in large A3 size or a more manageable A4 version and you can choose any one of the posters or the whole set together.

The posters are FREE to ROSCO registered members.

ROSCO administration enhancements

To provide a more effective service to our valued members, the ROSCO administration office has changed to provide a more comprehensive service.

The office is now manned every week Monday to Thursday from 0930 to 1530 for the servicing of queries and membership enquiries.

In addition, Gill Edmondson has now been appointed as Executive Officer. Gill is a partner of Transport Partners who are contracted to provide the administration function of ROSCO, and has extensive experience in membership organisations though was until recently Town Clerk of her home town.
