ROSCO are delighted to welcome Warrington’s Own Buses to our growing network of operator members, with 248 drivers now enrolled in the national safe driving scheme.

Warrington’s Own Buses joined ROSCO in the Mid-Summer as the fourth operator to join in 2026. Marking another important addition to the charity’s operator membership and reinforcing a shared commitment to recognising professional drivers, promoting safer roads and strengthening safety culture across the UK bus industry.

Established in 1955, ROSCO recognises and rewards drivers who demonstrate consistently safe and professional driving, including avoiding blameworthy collisions and traffic prosecutions. Around 32,000 drivers currently participate in the scheme nationwide, with operator membership playing an important role in ensuring safe driving is recognised and celebrated throughout the industry.

Warrington’s Own Buses has a long history of serving its local community, with roots stretching back to the introduction of Warrington’s first electric tram in 1902. Today, the operator carries more than six million customers each year and operates around five million kilometres of services annually. It is also wholly owned by Warrington Borough Council, retaining a strong focus on local decision-making and community-focused public transport.
